THE ARCHITECTURE OF CONTEMPORARY INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION

This text emerged as an attempt to explain complex
international processes in a language that is simple, but
not simplistic. Contemporary international competition
increasingly rarely looks like a direct confrontation between
two states or two blocs. It unfolds through rules, institutions,
sanctions, technologies, logistics, security guarantees,
information signals, negotiation formats and attempts by
individual actors to shift the boundaries of what is considered
permissible.
